Spring Equinox

Brooke now has a MySpace site where she may be adding more current information via her blog.

Dear Friends and Family,

I see that I am right on time, at the equinox following the one when I wrote last fall! That's a little humor, since it has been a long time since I gave you an update! We have been intensely and happily occupied, getting ourselves on the ground at Earth Heart Sanctuary. Sunny did take enough time out from building to make me some wonderful clothes from the deer hides we tanned. This one is my winter dress, which turned out to be more like an ancient shaman's ceremonial dress!

GETTING ON THE GROUND

Because it has been an extremely mild winter (Do we get that global warming is real yet??), we have been able to continue our building of the studio greenhouse you see in the photos. It was begun in October, and we have gotten this far: greenhouse is complete and receiving soil; exterior of the studio living space behind it and the office / craft room above are complete. We have yet to do the final plumbing and electrical, inner walls upstairs, cabinets, flooring and other finishing, plus the big porch that will wrap around the back half of the circle.

One of the great joys is that we are not going into debt doing it! We hope to serve others through modeling a way to do this; several important things contribute. We are: 1) doing our own work, except in rare instances where we do not have the equipment to dig septics, etc., 2) finding as much recycled material as possible, 3) using materials from the land, and 4) perhaps most important, keeping it small and simple.

1) Although Sunny has experience in building, he is not an expert at any one thing. Our results are not perfect, and we face interesting challenges along the way, yet it is do-able. Because he has always chosen warmer climates in which to homestead, he has no experience with double walls, insulation, pipes buried 6 feet down, regular electricity, etc. So, he learns from knowledgeable folks around us, gets good books, opens his heart to universal intelligence, and goes for it!

2) We found an absolutely wonderful source of recycled building materials. A place called Home Resource in Missoula is the gathering place for almost everything and anything you can think of - from beautiful old hardwood doors, to sinks, lighting, wood, glass, and buckets of miscellaneous screws. All of the huge windows for the greenhouse (recycled aquarium and sliding glass doors) cost us only $200, and all the studio windows, not even that much. We also found some very useful things at Habitat for Humanity, a wonderful organization, where they, as well, are now collecting recycled building materials.

3) Our land is rich in building materials, logs, stones, etc. As we cleared space for meadows in the middle of dense forest, we used and traded for lumber. We will build our small log home of Earth Heart lodgepole in the next year or so. (Speaking of logs and recycling, reminds me that we bought some beautiful cedar lumber, plus logs for my medicine lodge / healing cabin, from a man whose cedar forest had been killed in a fire.) As digging took place, we gathered stones to be used in our Count Rumford fireplace. We'll use the little streams as much as possible for watering our gardens.

4) Keeping it simple (although functional and beautiful) is a major contributing factor to keeping ourselves out of debt. The entire building you see is only 36 feet around, 16 sided, the uprights made of logs and the center pole a fir from our forest. Half of it is greenhouse, which will feed us and warm our space, even as we use our main barrel stove to share heat with the plants on cold winter days. The back half might be described as a studio apartment, yet has all the space we need. Brooke has her office and craft, as well as storage, space on the second floor. The large porch will give us warm weather, space‚ a worm composting toilet is attached to the bathroom (This works very well, more info if you are interested); other small and inexpensive buildings which do not need plumbing and electrical will serve many other functions, and this studio will become a guest house / gathering center once we get our log home built.

This summer we will add a garage/workshop and car ports, plus a food storage cellar and a sauna - dug into a bank near the greenhouse. If we have enough volunteer help, we may even get to do the even more fun projects of creating small earth shelters, tent and tipi shelters, and my small cedar log cabin (which will tune us up on how to build log cabins before we begin constructing our home).

NURTURING THE WEB OF LIFE

All this building is only part of the process of getting ourselves on the ground and nurturing the web of life. Another vital piece of the puzzle is getting gardens and orchards planted and productive, creating a food forest! It's exciting to have the greenhouse done so that we can start some things there right away. We have found nearby some of the most wonderful soil I have ever seen! It is from a pond excavation of an ancient alluvial fan left by a glacier. Over its long travels, it has accumulated rock dust, which means it is full of minerals (which are lacking in most all of our American soil today, no thanks‚ primarily to  chemical agribusiness) and it contains what my guidance has called, ancient DNA‚ which is untouched and unchanged by all the pollution, chemicals, genetic engineering, etc. that is changing the web of life in ways that are not good for its healthy continuance. I'm told that we will create, with this earth and the pristine water, a kind of mother essence‚ that can be given to other growers and producers in homeopathic doses, thus enriching and uplifting the whole valley. The Bitterroot Valley is a wonderful place, having always been a rich gardening center, where there is deep interest in making ourselves self-sufficient. (By the way, we have been told to purchase as much of this magical soil as possible, hopefully 20 or more big dump-truck loads at $120 a load. If you would like to sponsor one or more loads, please see inviting your support.

Next, we need to get fences up to keep our many deer, elk, moose, and bear neighbors out of the garden and orchard areas. Eventually, when we get goats and chickens, we will need to fence the meadows so that we don't feed the huge packs of wolves all our animal friends and family. (The packs come in and often wipe out complete ranches of animals, including cattle, horses, sheep, dogs, whatever, so they need to be controlled and learn some respect for those who live near them in the wilderness.)

We are spreading grass seed and wild flower mixes in the areas we have opened to the light. We'll put in every kind of berry bush that will grow in our high country, as well as all such hardy fruit trees. And Sunny loves to have flowers abounding, so this will be a very magical and beautiful place.

TIME OUT

We have spent very little time away from the land. One trip last September was to Idaho, when we took our little gypsy wagon (which we have been living in at Earth Heart while we build) to Rabbitstick Rendezvous. This gathering of some of the finest aboriginal skills practitioners and teachers is a wonderful, inexpensive, camping week on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. Sunny taught folks how to turn their buckskins into useable items of clothing and pouches. Classes were available in everything from basket making to snares, kayak construction, hide tanning, and herbal preparation, to mention only a few. See the Rabbitstick Rendezvous website at http://www.backtracks.net or phone them at 208-359-2400.

Brooke traveled east to Rosemary Gladstar's herbal gathering (and will again this June (see Calendar), and to work with Jackie Lowe Stevenson's Wolf Creek woman and others in the Cleveland area. She has also continued attending her Healing the Light Body shamanic training with Alberto Villoldo's Four Winds group. Awakening this new aspect of her work has been a pleasure for her personally, and a gift to those with whom she does private healing work in person and on the phone.

We'll be journeying across the mountain to the beautiful Blacktail Ranch in early June for a special and unusual gathering: in which we, Renee Baribeau, and Maria Elena, will be offering new ways of being for our Earth walk, discovering how to NOT DO the old, inharmonious, unconscious way and through singing, dancing, horseback riding, vision questing, sweat lodge and opening to Creation, experience new and unified ways to live. You are invited to join us for a very magical and transformative time there. (See Calendar)

COMING TO HELP AND LEARN

This summer there is an opportunity to come help us do our projects at Earth Heart and learn as you do. Our accommodations will be simple and rustic, and everyone there will help with all tasks, from building to gardening to food preparation, as is appropriate.

Although Sunny won't be slowing down much from his intense focus on projects, Brooke will be welcoming people to come on healing retreat and vision quest. Our land, although only 40 acres, is quite beautiful, and we are also near the Frank Church Wilderness area, where there is exquisite back country to explore. (See Offerings)

You will be able to join in fun projects like creating natural beaver dams on the stream to deepen some pools for swimming. In the heat of late July and August, these would be choice assignments, for sure.

HEAVEN ON EARTH

I certainly hope you have all seen Al Gore's profoundly informative (and Academy Award winning) documentary on global warming: An Inconvenient Truth. This crisis we humans have helped create is one of the major challenges we face on Earth today.

Our personal response at Earth Heart is to create Heaven on Earth, as much as we possibly can, through our energy and expression living simply and in Love. To keep a high, joyous, free. open and creative vibration is a gift to ourselves and to our world.  We are creating a living environment that supports and nurtures more life and more diversity of animals as well as beautiful, medicinal and edible plants. Thus, we leave behind a place that is more abundant than we we arrived there. Right now, our human family is destroying each other, the delicate web of life, the balance of Nature, the future of all life on this beautiful planet. We are Earth Heart are in service of helping people understand how to live in harmony and balance with each other, All Our Relations, and our Earth: Lady Gaia herself.

Wishing you an uplifting, magical, joyful and harmoniously creative Spring!
Ho, Midtak Oyasin -For All Our Relations.

"To penetrate into the essence of all being and significance, and to release the fragrance of that inner attainment for the guidance and benefit of others, by expressing in the world of forms, truth, love, purity and beauty -- this is the sole game which has any intrinsic and absolute worth. All other happenings, incidents and attainments can, in themselves, have no lasting importance.

Sanctuary Home for Sale

Brooke is selling her beautiful Eagle'sView Sanctuary in the exquisite Bitterroot Valley of Montana. She and Sunny have moved to their new headquarters at Earth Heart further down the valley, and are looking for that special person / family  who want to continue to the wonderful energy of caring and sanctuary they began there.

Unspoiled Ranching Valley

Looking out of all three levels of this hillside log home, you see a stunning view of 50 miles of snow-capped peaks along the west side of the Bitterroot Valley and also the Sapphire range to the west

The 5 acres of huge, old Ponderosa pines around the house create a feeling of quiet and privacy

Your immediate view is a lovely old-Montana scene, a good friend's ranch and the cottonwood lined North Burnt Fork Creek.

This is not a development, and the ranching nature of this unique side valley means it will stay peaceful, beautiful and undisturbed.

There is a remarkable ceremonial pyramid nearby where special seasonal ceremonies are held.

Located in the quiet country-side just 3 miles from the sweet little town of Stevensville (the first settlement in Montana!).

Easy commute - just 35 minutes south of Missoula

Sanctuary history
   - Brooke has loved and cared for this land and the animals who live there.

- Deer come with their fawns to rest among the huge trees.

- A flock of wild turkeys comes to be fed corn frequently in the winter. - a fox raised her kits in a nearby  den - unusual and special because the kits were able to be seen by all going by, when foxes are usually very reclusive.

- Few people drive by because Middle Burnt Fork road is more central.

Interior
There is a magical and special feeling in this 1994 built log home. With two large bedrooms upstairs and a smaller one on the middle level with

The open kitchen and living room are comfortable and pleasant.

Bath or 1/2 bath on each floor.

Lower area makes a wonderful family room.

The lower back room  is a naturally warm and excellent office or guest room.

The open front area has available water to enable a kitchenette to be installed, which would make this a wonderful mother-in-law apartment, artist studio, office, or meeting space with it's  separate entrance.

Heating is with a propane stove on the middle floor, and a wood stove in the lower. The wood stove kept the whole house quite warm with only 2-3 cords of wood a year. One could also replace it with a propane heater.

More

-The south facing nature of the hillside means lots of sun pouring in from morning until night on cooler days.

-The front porch is a great place to lean on the railing and watch the moon as it graces St. Mary's peak.

-There is a undeveloped spring in the back that keeps it green all year and waters the aspen, alder and pines there.

-The small back patio could be turned into a wonderful and cool gathering place during the warmer parts of the year.

This is not a new, cheap construction that will out-gas dangerously for years. It is a well cared for and much loved home and sanctuary's a magical place for all who live and visit there.

Seizures & Fines: Travel with ceremonial items
There have always been laws, especially with regard to raptor feathers, about who can legally carry them. Right now there is a lot of attention in airports, which are under federal jurisdiction, around feathers, herbs and other ceremonial items. Here are some reminders and suggestions, given to help you stay in harmony with these laws:

  1. Carry as few ceremonial items as possible, in case of search and seizure. (If there is any suspicion, all of your carry-on and checked luggage can be confiscated, even if there is no problem in the end. Something that is a sacred item to you may look dangerous or threatening to security officials, and would not be returned to you. This is not something you can dispute.)
  2. Eagle, hawk, other raptor, and many other bird feathers are federally protected, and it is illegal for anyone without a federal Fish & Game permit to have /carry them. (Only those with raptor centers and of tribal membership can even apply for those permits.)
  3. Airport security near large Earth ceremonies and gatherings are especially on alert and checking carefully, so remind anyone to whom this might apply not to be foolish or careless. (Xrays and scent dogs are often used on checked luggage. Full body searches are conducted.)
  4. Security personnel have no training in herbal knowledge, and can just as easily stop you for mugwort, sweet grass, or sage as for something illegal. You can be hand-cuffed and detained for many hours, and charged without legal representation.
  5. Many people who have ignored or been ignorant of the law have been detained, charged, and heavily fined. (Thereafter they will be on an A list and checked carefully whenever traveling.)
  6. Remember that feathers or artifacts from other countries are illegal and carry even heavier fines and sanctions. (Your passport could be seized and revoked.)

A bill is before the Senate that could make red pipestone an endangered item within the next few weeks. If passed, you will need a special permit to carry it, given by tribal authorities who have long-term and stringent requirements. Carrying a sacred pipe / chanupa could case serious problems. Please pay attention to this legislation.

We Can Feed the People of the Earth:
I'd like to share the work of an organization with you which can help others on our planet in their very struggle to survive. This is a gift that keeps on giving. The project is called HEIFER and the concept is to help families and villages in need by providing appropriate animals and training that will continuously provide necessities such as wool, feathers, labor, fertilizer, leather, food and income for the families and the villages.  As the animals bear young the self reliance is shared by passing on some of these offspring and the training to other families in the village.

Church of England Going Green & Organic

From: Independent (UK Newspaper)

Archbishop tells Church to help save the planet with green policies
By Robert Verkaik
03 February 2005

The Church of England is embarking on a green revolution, rolling out an
eco-friendly policy under which organic bread and wine will be served for
Holy Communion, clergy will recycle waste products and fair trade products
will be sold at fêtes. Dr Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury,
will set out his vision of a greener world at a meeting of the General Synod
of the Church of England later this month that will challenge Britain to tackle global warming.

In a discussion document being circulated among Synod members, the Church of
England says that the world's climate is close to a "tipping point". The
Church warns: "The sudden changes that would occur in weather systems, the
fertility of the soil, the water and the world of living creatures if this
tipping point were reached could be devastating." It points out that even if
"ecological devastation" is not on the horizon "it has to be realised that
growth without limit has to be curtailed".

The report, entitled Sharing God's Planet, argues: "Furthermore, the
injustices spawned by massive growth already exist. Two-thirds of the world
does not have enough to eat while the other third is trying to lose weight."

Four White Buffalo Born since August
Steven McFadden alerted us to this Good News Story

According to a story published Sept. 13 by the Minot Daily News in North Dakota, four white buffalo have been born on the nearby Kirk ranch since August, 2002. By my reckoning, that brings the number of white buffalo born since August, 1994 to a total of 13. To read details go to our Good News Page.

White Zebra in Nairobi National Park

(Nairobi - Thursday 11th March 2004)

Nairobi National Park never runs short of surprises. This time, a "white" zebra has been born - strange indeed. Could this be some genetic mix-up, or an act of God?

Paul Gathitu - Senior Warden at Nairobi National Park does not intend to separate the otherwise healthy baby zebra from the mother saying, "let nature take its course." But the white one will nonetheless keep researchers and visitors wondering for a while where all the stripes went!

I wanted to share this very moving poem below, written by Teresa Imfeld for a friend who had experienced losing her home in the Berkeley fires several years ago. It reminded me of the emotional experience of almost losing my home in Arizona last year. If you missed the past F&F letter about the fire, click here.

The Great Prayer

for Elinor
who lost her home in a fire

What was happening those two
hours before you evacuated?
When you cleaned and straightened
you house. Not choosing, nor
packing, which items to take.

Instead stacking papers,
clearing space on the desk,
lifting offerings of cups to shelves.

This home you searched so long
for, loved like a lover,
you chose simply to be with.

Touching the mantel, the bookcase.
Brushing aside the curtains, as you
might a young boy's hair.

And as you gaze for the last
time through this window,
what is it you remember?
Your son? The artist.
The one who chose to snuff
out his own flame.

How many times have you chanted:
If only, if only,
if only I had been there.
And that not being so,
what could you possibly take.

A lock of hair? A crescent moon
of fingernail? His paintings?
Even these swatches of soul,
layed edge to edge, cannot
like puzzle pieces, rebuild him.
You know that now as Kali's
smoke pours over your house.
No rug, no book, no goddess carving,
curved like the flicker of fire,
can you take to rebuild this home.

Instead, you dress with love
in the light lace of touch,
adorn this great altar
with every precious treasure,
praying:

Take it.
I will keep only what I need,
my heart, my breath, my hands.
And from the moist seed of clay
I will shape two strong feet.
On these I will build my new altar,
weave my body cloth,
wrap my delicate petals.
For always will my home be soft.
Always will I hold and love.
For always, always, will I loose.

Teresa Imfeld

 Pray for . . . .

Some of you are kind enough to let me know when there are weird websites out there where detractors' opinions are expressed and supposed "facts" about me stated. Oh yawn, I wonder that they don't have something positive to do with their lives, and it is clear that they don't understand how much negativity they are calling into their own and their family's lives with their invectives! Please pray for this kind of person. I am so very sad for them.

Many of these mentally confused people are not even interested in the facts or the information and sources we send them -- they already have their minds made up! As most of you know, I am an enrolled member of the Crow tribe in Montana, see Tribal ID., although I do not teach their ways (having been guided by Spirit to a neighboring Cheyenne woman as my first teacher). I do not claim to be a traditional medicine woman because I am not; I identify myself as a global Earthkeeper, teaching Earth wisdom and awakening in all it's forms. Since I am a Rainbow (mixed blood) person myself, it makes sense to me to share from what seem to me to be the clearest and truest spiritual ways of all people, including some wonderful understandings brought forth by those of my generation.

For a little more detailed information, my maiden name is Edwards. I was given my current medicine name after my Bear Butte vision quest (see Buffalo Woman Comes Singing for more information on my many names!) I have no criminal record.

Enough said. Remember to pray and send uplifting energy to any and all who are hoping to make positive change using very negative, untruthful, and damaging information. Keep your own energy high, loving, and clear, thus calling to you and your world what is good, true and beautiful.
In joy, Brooke

Native American Plant Cooperative (NAPC)
The primary purpose of NAPC is to provide ceremonial tobacco and other medicinal plants to Native Americans and mixed bloods who need them for prayers, offerings, healing, ceremonies, gifts, and other traditional uses. To obtain the plants and associated items, NAPC has formed a member-run cooperative, with some members providing money or stamps for postage while others grow tobacco, collect cedar and sage, donate the shells and feathers, and otherwise support the group.
The Native American Plant Cooperative can be your cooperative, if you choose to join. The greatest thing that you can receive from it is the power that comes from giving and helping others to survive. For information on joining NAPC or to order plants, tobacco or educational sets, please contact :

Joseph C. Winter is also the author of Tobacco Use by Native North Americans: Sacred Smoke and Silent Killer. This definitive work presents the origins, history, and contemporary use (and misuse) of tobacco by Native Americans. It describes wild and domesticated tobacco species and how their cultivation and use may have led to the domestication of corn, potatoes, beans, and other food plants. It also analyzes many North American Indian practices and beliefs, including the concept that tobacco is so powerful and sacred that the spirits themselves are addicted to it. This volume argues for the preservation of traditional tobacco use in a limited, sacramental manner while criticizing the use of commercial tobacco.
Joseph C. Winter, who taught for twenty-one years as a Professor of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico, is currently the director of the Native American Plant Cooperative.

Hopi Corn Grinding Song
Oh, for a heart as pure as pollen
On corn blossoms
And for a life as sweet as honey
Gathered from flowers
And beautiful as butterflies in sunshine.
May I do good as corn has
Done good for my people
Through all the days that
were
Until my task is done
And evening falls.
Oh Mighty Spirit
Hear my grinding song.

What's New In Books and CD's!

Fearless Women: Midlife Journeys
by Mary Ann Halpin, Marilyn Kentz and Nancy Alspaugh now available at bookstores across the country and online.

Ask some women their age, and they'll demur. Ask others, and they'll take up a sword. In this inspirational book, 50 women ranging in age from their 40s to their 60s-including movie and television personalities, musicians, and Olympic athletes-are presented in stunning photographs holding a sword to symbolize their passionate and courageous approach to aging. Their stories are told alongside the pictures, capturing the experiences of the 38 million women of the Baby Boom generation who are challenging the age barrier and living the second half of their lives to the fullest. These women share their feelings about how they have become wiser and more powerful with age. The book concludes with an empty page for one final woman: a place where her photo can be added and her story can be told. As a tribute to a friend or loved one, this book is one of the best gifts a fearless woman can receive.

I HIGHLY recommend this important and timely book because, besides some great reincarnation drama, it brings very confirming GOOD NEWS about our ascension into the time of light and love that gets fully under way in 2012, as an old time ends and new Golden Time begins. Wynn Free brings breathtaking new scientific research evidence from David which indicates how energy can transform DNA -- potentially making ESP, telekinesis, levitation, and other paranormal activities as common as breathing, and our quantum leap into a whole new time of light and love not only possible, but probable. In these challenging time, this news is very uplifting! Visit Wynn's site at

The Amazing Liver Cleanse
by Andreas Moritz
A majority of adults living in the industrialized world, and especially those suffering a chronic illness such as heart disease, arthritis, MS, cancer, or diabetes,
have hundreds if not thousands of gallstones (mainly clumps of hardened bile) blocking the bile ducts of their lives. The presence of gallstones greatly interfered with such vital processes as digestion of food, elimination of waste, and detoxification of harmful substances in the blood. This liver congestion is one of the most common health problems, and its oversight might be the most unfortunate oversight that has ever been made in the field of medicine, both orthodox and complementary. This book provides a thorough understanding of what cases gallstones in the liver and gallbladder, and why these stones can be held responsible for the most common diseases so prevalent in the world today. It provides the reader with the knowledge needed to recognize the stone and gives the necessary, do-it-yourself instruction to painlessly remove them at home -- and to prevent new ones from being formed.

Waking the Tiger: Healing Trauma
by Peter A. Levine
We have the innate capacity to heal trauma, yet it has been lost under layers of civilized thinking and emotions. Peter's book offers a new and hopeful vision of trauma. It views the human animal as a unique being, endowed with an instinctual capacity to heal as well as an intellectual spirit to harness this capacity. He normalizes the symptoms of trauma and the steps needed to heal them. The reader is taken on a guided tour of the subtle, yet powerful impulses that govern our responses to overwhelming life events, employing a series of exercises that help us focus on bodily sensations. Through a heightened awareness of these sensations, trauma can be healed. Brooke is in training with Peter's Foundation for Human Enrichment, learning the trauma healing which is called Sensory Experiencing, and will be offering somatic sessions where she travels and at home. The Quickening

The sadness, borne within me, is breaking.

In its place is a great peace,

more light than shadow,

more love than hurt.

Sometimes simply one perception

changes everything,

for it is poured into your blood

by the sun and pulsing stars.

Learning Their Language: Intuitive Communication with Animals and Nature
by Marta Williams.
"I wrote this book for the Earth's animals, all the plants and the forests, the rivers and mountains, the wild and beautiful places, and the spirit of the Earth herself. They all want us to hear them again, as did our ancestors, and to welcome their voices on the council. I hope that in some way I will help to make this come about."..Marta Williams.

"If we are to survive, we must begin to listen to our nonhuman neighbors. The good news is that it's easy, and Marta Williams, in her extraordinary book Learning Their Language, shows us how. Step-by-step she reveals the ease with which we all can begin to re-enter the ongoing conversations that surround us each day. This is a necessary book for anyone who loves a cat, dog, horse, tree, or any of the wild creatures who, too, call this their home."... Derrick Jensen, author of A Language Older Than Words.

Daddy's Girls
by Suzanne Gold.
I think you will both enjoy and learn from this enchanting book written by my friend Suzanne Gold. It has deep lessons to learn, yet it is a page-turner in the best sense of the word!-- Brooke
It is a rich, yet simple tale of a family in trouble, told through the eyes of its three women. Overlapping vignettes and flashbacks from their births to Cherie's breakdown and beyond, form an intricate quilt of life's defining moments that exposes the dark forces of fear, frustration, sexuality, and revenge behind the family's middle class veneer.
This moving novel is in turn disturbing, uplifting, funny and heart-wrenching as it explores the big issues of life, love, sanity, and relationships, building to a climax that vibrates with hope. Daddy's Girls was honored with Foreword Magazine's Book of the Year Award.

Friends of the Trees Society seeks your Support!

Friends of the Trees Society (FTS) has accomplished an incredible amount since 1978. Over 170,000 trees and shrubs and thousands of seed packets have been distributed. Our literature has benefited tens of thousands of people around the globe. Our workshops and events have educated tens of thousands. Our Travelers Earth Repair Network has served over 500 international travelers and hundreds of hosts. All this has been done on a shoestring budget and almost all of it has been generated by our own earned income.
I have dedicated my life to the trees and the planet since 1978. My personal lifestyle has been one of austerity and frugality. Even so, lack of resources continually limits what I can accomplish. Please help me continue my work for the Earth by sending a financial contribution. Various in-kind donations are also helpful, including tools, office supplies, computer equipment, graphics, website design, database programming (FileMaker Pro), publicity, etc. Financial contributions in the amounts of $100 to $1,000 are especially helpful, but any contribution will be appreciated and well utilized.

Thank you,
Michael Pilarski
